Updates for Bundaberg
Residential aged care: Care services are continuing as usual at our Fairways home, which is well stocked with food, water and clinical supplies. Residents and team remain safe and in good spirits and the home has not been affected by inundation or power outages.
Additional team members have remained onsite to ensure residents remained safe and comfortable.
Retirement living: Our village manager is onsite and has remained in close contact with residents, checking in regularly to provide support and assistance.
Power has been interrupted to 10 units however refrigerators, chargers and cooking facilities are available at the community hall.
Residents will also come together for a barbecue to keep the community connected at this time.
Home and community support: Services remain paused in affected areas, with welfare calls in place to ensure all clients are safe and have sufficient food, medication supplies.
Teams continue to work closely with clients, local health services and emergency services.

Some services in our Bundaberg and Wide Bay areas are currently affected by flooding as a result of recent severe weather.

Residential aged care:
Fairways - With current flood alerts in the Bundaberg region and likely bridge and road closures, we are working in consultation with emergency services and following advice to shelter in place.
We remain focused on the safety and wellbeing of our residents and employees.
Our teams are experienced in managing severe weather events and our emergency management plan has been activated
We are well prepared with extra food, water and medical supplies on site and additional team members on hand to provide support where needed.
We will continue to update family members as more information becomes available.
Home and community support: Services have been temporarily paused in affected areas including Bundaberg and some parts of Hervey Bay.
Teams have been making welfare calls to ensure affected clients are safe and have sufficient food, medication supplies. We continue to work closely with clients, local health services and emergency services to inform client emergency plans.
Retirement living:
With flood alerts in place the local team has contacted residents to update them and check emergency planning.
The village community centre is open with backup power available in case of outages, and team members are onsite to provide support.
Team members remain on site to identify specific needs and connect residents with additional care where needed.
